    Expert Author Rellie Lorenzo

How do we become better creators or producers instead of consumer zombies mindlessly eating our time away? The answer is to monitor your actions like a hawk. But that is not it. You also have to be disciplined enough to moderate or cut off those consumer-type activities.
First of all, it is important to know that in order to grow as creators of content, products, or services there has to be an acceptance of certain consumptions such as reading a worthy book, participating in a paid course, or listening to audio on development. An internet entrepreneur must be selective in his or her consumptions.
The internet marketer must be aware of the activities that fall under the category of Consumer. We all are familiar with purchasing from Amazon, eBay, and Papa John's. But there many more trivial activities that many folks divulge in for hours and hours on in while failing to realize that they are in consumer mode. Are you constantly checking your email? How many non-productive minutes, hours, and days do you spend on Facebook in a week? Are you excessively reading the news or getting lost in YouTube videos?
Whether you are paying or engaging on these social networking sites for free, the act you are participating in is consumption. The producer or creator is Gmail, CNN, Facebook, YouTube, etc. If it is an action that is not generating you cash or the potential for profits then avoid it at all costs. If it is not an activity that is genuinely rejuvenating and recharging your batteries then it is not worth spending your time on.
To be in line with your entrepreneurial journey you have to be very close to if not completely obsessed with your ultimate goal(s). It is crazy but it is even crazier to continue to waste time doing the same old consumer-type activities and expect to advance in your business.
With that said, there is a time for everything. As an internet entrepreneur, you have to know when and how to rejuvenate in an impeccable manner. You have to know what to consume to truly grow as a person and a professional. Are you consuming sun light, good music, healthy foods, wise media, joyful relationships, and fundamental knowledge? In order for you to create valuable content you have to take in and absorb essential relevant knowledge. If you want to distribute high quality you have to consume high quality.
