    When you're brushing and flossing religiously and yet your breath still has the potency to kill flowers or small animals, you know you've got a problem. We learn how to treat bad breath only through conventional means, such as standard oral care and maybe some mouthwash or chewing gum. I, like you, have always felt that the freshness of my breath (or lack thereof) left a lot to be desired. In this article I'm going to shed a little bit of light on how to treat bad breath when brushing and flossing just aren't enough.
    Perhaps the worst part about bad breath is that when you have it, it's almost all you can think about, especially in social settings! You probably already know that that's no way to live life. I even tended to worry about how fresh my breath was with a mint in my mouth. Let's face it; as a kid, people were brutally honest. But as an adult, no one wants to hurt your feelings, so you never really "know" what people actually think of your breath.
    Unfortunately, what most people are probably thinking is that you don't brush your teeth. Society at large, and even the dental community, seems to have this incorrect assumption that proper brushing and flossing is the only thing that you need to keep your breath fresh. Even my dentist doesn't seem to have the faintest idea of how to treat bad breath!
    So, why is it that people like us have to suffer with bad breath, while most people get to brush twice a day (if that) and be worry-free and relaxed?
    The truth is that it has nothing at all to do with anything you are doing wrong. Unfortunately, the true cause of bad breath is not just plaque on your teeth. It's a natural bacteria that loves to live in your mouth. This bacteria actually aids in our digestive process, but the problem is that as it breaks down foods, it creates sulfur, which is odorous and the main source of bad breath. The reason that your breath is worse than others is because the climate and geography of your mouth happens to be hospitable to these bacteria, allowing them to reproduce in record numbers at a startling pace.
    So, you want to know how to treat bad breath and finally get to feel like yourself in social situations? What you have to do is make your mouth less hospitable to these sulfur producing bacteria on a regular basis. You MUST learn how to maintain a pH balanced environment -- it's the only way to stop these bacteria from ruining your life.
    I know that at this point you're probably wishing that you could just brush your teeth and floss every now and then, and go on with your life the way that most people can. But life throws us hurdles, and it's better to jump them as they come up than it is to lag behind. Now that you know how to treat bad breath, all you need is a product that can help you maintain a neutralized environment in your mouth, treating your bad breath for good.
